A few helpful tips-
Set a goal for an event several months in advance; examples being trip to beach or perhaps a fun run, mud run Etc.
Eat a handful of nuts 20 min before each meal to help curb appetite.
Drink large glass of water anytime during the day you start to feel hungry.
Start an exercise program , even a few min a day will do. Gradually add to it over time - looking for a peak. My CHI METRICS Couse would do well.
A Frank Roudolph Young ( ie Mike Marvel ) trick- flex your hands into fists tightly as well as your calves a few times as you visualize your stomach shrinking and not being very hungry before each meal to curb appetite.
Eat 6 whole fresh raw fruits or vegtibles each day.
